Thérèse Saint Clair carries quite of a few of Checkerboard’s personalization albums. While Checkerboard suffers a bit from over-exposure, it does provide good value to the consumer who can sort through the seemingly endless invitation and greeting card options. Each May at the National Stationery Show, we update our collection only with those “new” designs that stand out above the rest. In particular, we have found that Checkerboard’s Social Butterfly album has some outstanding samples of party invitations that will surprise and delight. For those working on a tight budget (and who isn’t these days), we have found that Checkerboard’s Bar & Bat Mitzvah albums provide a diverse variety of tasteful invitations across a wide spectrum of religious and contemporary designs. Checkerboard’s business holiday albums are, in our opinion a bit drab. Nevertheless, they have made great strides in improving the design quality of their personal holiday card albums. In particular, their illustrated and whimsical holiday designs are quite clever and often bring a smile to our face. We also carry Checkerboard’s Baby Announcement album.
