Therese Saint Clair is thrilled to host an art exhibit of 8 British artists who were finalists for the 2007 Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize held in London last November. This is the third year of the Prize which is designed to encourage creative representational painting and promote the skill of draftmanship. The works of these artists may be seen at the Saint Clair gallery from April 30th through May 16. The gallery is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Saturday.
Last year's prize attracted nearly 800 entries and we are indeed fortunate that Mary and Arthur Hunt (formerly of Barney's Place in Greenwich) were able to attend the London exhibit and select the artists whose paintings will be displayed. Arthur and Mary were largely responsible for introducing a number of prominent British artists to the Greenwich community and we are thrilled at the opportunity to rekindle that tradition.

In addition to Paul Banning, whose painting of St. Mark's Square is displayed above, we will have paintings from Susan Brown, Richard Price, Julian Bray, Nick Johnson, Noreen Grant, Paula Wilson and Philip Tyler. See samples of some of the artist's work that will shown at the exhibit.
